It was organized jointly by the Phoenix Leader Education Program and the RIRBM as the 13<sup>th<\/sup> PLEP seminar and the 207<sup>th<\/sup> RIRBM Seminar. The speaker was Ms. Carol J. IDDINS, MD., Associate Director, REAC\/TS at ORAU, USA.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The Seminar was opened by Dr. Hiroshi Yasuda, a program member of the PLEP. Professor Iddins began her talk by explaining the relationship that exists between Acute Radiation Syndrome (ARS) and radiation exposure. Subsequently, the seminar closed with an explanation of several ARS patient reports and their treatment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Following the seminar, there was an active discussion among participants, including the PLEP students, HU researchers and other attendees.
