{"id":1606,"date":"2018-10-26T13:53:42","date_gmt":"2018-10-26T04:53:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/phoenixprogramlp.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/wp\/?p=1606\/"},"modified":"2018-11-01T17:01:54","modified_gmt":"2018-11-01T08:01:54","slug":"%e3%80%9031-oct-%e3%80%91the-17th-phoenix-leader-education-program-seminar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/phoenixprogramlp.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/en\/%e3%80%9031-oct-%e3%80%91the-17th-phoenix-leader-education-program-seminar\/","title":{"rendered":"The 17th Phoenix Leader Education Program Seminar was held (31st Oct.)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Hiroshima University<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The 17th Phoenix Leader Education Program Seminar was held<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u3000\u3000\u3000The 17th Phoenix Leader Education Program Seminar titled \u201cthe Ethics of Radiological Protection in the Context of Nuclear Accidents\u201d on October 31, 2018, Dr. Jacques Lochard , Professor at Nagasaki University, Vice-Chair of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), and Visiting Professor of Hiroshima University, was invited as a lecturer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u3000\u3000\u3000The seminar began with greetings of Dr. Nobuyuki Hirohashi, Chair of Education Committee of the PLEP, and then, Dr. Jacques Lochard gave lectures on activities of ICRP, his experiences after the nuclear disaster in Chernobyl, activities to radiation protection in Fukushima, and reconstruction activities through the dialog seminars in local communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u3000\u3000\u3000Following the seminar, there was active discussion among about 20 participants including the PLEP students, HU researchers and other attendees. It was great opportunity for all participants to learn the ethics in radiological protection.
