【26th-28th January, 2018】7th International Symposium

Hiroshima University Phoenix Leader Education Program (Hiroshima Initiative) for Renaissance from Radiation Disaster is holding the 7th International Symposium under the theme of “Challenges and Prospects of Radiation Disaster Recovery Studies – Implementation of Transdisciplinary Approach -.”

Radiation disaster not only threatens the health of people directly from radiation exposure and environmental pollution but also seriously changes the way of life in the affected area. We have established radiation disaster recovery studies as a new academic discipline in which we study these problems comprehensively and develop integrated countermeasures.

In the 7th International Symposium, we will discuss impacts and challenges of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant accident, having in mind the importance of transdisciplinary approach which is collaborations beyond the disciplines and sectors. In order to clarify solutions, we invite participants from industry, academia, and government for this symposium.
