On December 8 and 9, 2022, we invited Mr. Jacques Lochard from France to give a lecture.

Dr. Jacques Lochard is a former Vice-Chair of the Main Commission of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), and he is also working as a visiting professor at Hiroshima University and a professor at Nagasaki University.

In the lecture, Dr. Jacques Lochard gave a talk about the risk communication based on his experience gained from the Ethos Program after the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident and the Fukushima Dialogue activities in Fukushima Prefecture after the TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident.

During the overall discussion, a very interactive question and answer session was conducted beyond the closing time of the class.
