On October 10, 2025, the opening ceremony was held for the new students.
At the ceremony, Professor Kazuhiro Tsuga, the program director, delivered an opening address. He emphasized that recovery from radiation disasters requires knowledge from various academic fields, not just one discipline. He also offered words of encouragement for new studies.
After the opening address the new students introduced themselves.
Students entering the Radiation Disaster Medicine Course will study for four years, while those entering the Radioactivity Environmental Protection Course will study for five years within this Phoenix Leader Education Program.
They are expected to acquire extensive knowledge and skills while advancing their research, aiming to become leaders in the field of radiation disaster recovery.
